Took my cousin to see "Jason Takes Manhattan" a few years ago (I think it was over 10 years, ago now that I think about it.) The audience was obviously full of fans -- a few people showed up wearing hockey masks. The audience laughed their way through the entire movie. It was like a horrible, terrible, incredibly stupid satire. I don't think fans of a new Jason movie will be looking for it to make sense.
