Ah, Alien Resurrection. What was Joss Whedon thinking? How could he have gone so wrong? I mean, he was a writer on Toy Story, writer and story editor on Roseanne, created Buffy the Vampire Slayer and its spinoff Angel (the current storyline there is fantastic, although last week's episode was had a horribly weak ending), wrote some lyrics for Lion King II... <rhetorical question mode>With all of that being so good (OK, I haven't seen Lion King II, but my nephews and nieces seem to like it :-) how could he have done such a bad job with Alien Resurrection?</rhetorical> I guess even really good writers can have an off day... For those who might be interested, Whedon has a new sci-fi show in development at Fox called "Firefly." Filming started March 5. The current rumor is that it will get the "X-Files" timeslot on Sunday nights.
