We were packed to move, and the people buying our house backed out at the last minute, even with a $10,000 deposit. It turns out that the people buying their house dropped out at the last second because prices were falling so fast it was worth losing their earnest money. Since our contract had a condition that they sold their house, and since our real estate agent kept giving us false good news, we were stuck. We had to unpack from the move to show the house in a day, and then repack a couple of months later. Dan M.
