Sir, I obtained a copy of that album around Christmas when I was 16. I
had a few friends who were familiar with that album. There were people
who had albums of the composer's more recent songs who then went back
and got that album.

Now, in my high school graduating class, more people than not also owned
at *least* one Grateful Dead album, so it might have been something of
an abberation as far as my more general age-cohort went, but my owning
that album and others by the same group put me more into the mainstream
of my peers than most of the stuff I had obtained previously. (Of
course, most of what I had obtained previously was classical music, with
a definite skew towards J.S. Bach....)

Oh, and I think my younger sister owns that album, as well. And certain
acquaintances of mine from college, including ones *younger* than
myself. So that's several examples of people under 40 who own that
album.

        Julia

p.s. If you're referring to another song on that album when you speak of
herbs, I'm actually allergic to one of the herbs referred to, so check
with me about the menu in advance if you plan to invite me to dinner
