A famous figure from a powerful country can say what he
wants in Cuba, but what about a typical Cuban? According
to the TV news I saw this morning, people in Cuba are
discussing Carter's statements about lifting the US
embargo, but nobody there is discussing Carter's complaints
about human rights -- probably because they're afraid of
what would happen to them if they did.
