When Jimmy Carter was president, I was a teenager with things on my mind
other than politics and foreign policy.

But now, being a little older and better educated, the more I read about
Jimmy Carter, the more respect I have him.

If you have not read the text of the speech he made in Cuba, I would
encourage you to do so (see URL below) . It was very good, not to mention
the fact that he made the speech in Spanish. I think that impressed me more
than anything.

I personally would support lifting or reducing the embargo on Cuba.
Unfortunately, I am not surprised that Bush does not agree with Carter.

I am wondering how much of the speech Carter wrote and how much of it was
done by his staff?
