Dark Angel is officially gone, and Joss Whedon's Firefly is going to get
that timeslot. And re: SciFi and B5, there have been no official
announcements but unofficially it looks like Legends of the Rangers is not
going to get picked up as a series.
Per JMS on Usenet:
"The SciFi Channel has indicated that it's moving away from space shows,
with all the hardware/alien stuff that goes with it. (This as per its recent
announcement about upcoming shows.) So it looks like Rangers isn't going to
go ahead. They haven't said it directly, but networks never do."
Probably the last shot it has at being picked up as a series is an upcoming
B5 Movie Chain Reaction. SciFi Channel is showing all 5 of the made for tv
B5 movies, ending with Legends of the Rangers: To Live and Die in Starlight,
on June 2nd. I suppose if the ratings are good enough...
