My recollection is from a documentary about Chimpanzees with Jane Goodall.

I assumed the reference would be well-known.  However, after my lengthy nap this evening I wanted to cite the source explicitly.

I tried to install a copy of a set of National Geographic Magazines from CD to my computer but the install program crashed both my machines.

I'm here at Kinko's and funny things are happening with my bank card [Washington Mutual], so I used my University of Illinois credit card.

All I have now is the cover of the NGM CD box, which features, lo and behold, Jane Goodall and chimpanzees.  The CD was bought oh, a few years ago now, I had never opened it, and it was gathering dust.  I still have the dust!

I think if you look at the December 1995 issue, Vol 188 No 6 you will find printed documentation of my source.  Jane is a gentlelady and loves God -- obviously it was she who taught the chimps signing and the sermon on the mount.  The chimps themselves chose the method of communication.  I hope Jane is still alive.

If the source information is not in this issue, then search film documentaries about chimps.  It was a fairly recent work [within the past 2 decades] and on PBS when I saw it.

Good luck.  I'm slated for termination sometime soon.  Enjoy life.
