My answer now to this question is: Only a strange and twisted mind could pull a joke on sentients by making the universe merely a spherical fishbowl.
A random god would have created the non-hyperbolic Euclidean space we seem to be living in now. Since light is both particle and wave, we live in 2 layers of reality, possibly 3 if you count the universe of ideals (which I do not). And the universe is not Euclidean; also since 2 layers is more complex than 1 layer, God exists. Mebbe. I dunno. Ask yourself!
