The way to make phone transmissions over the internet, which uses packet
technology, that is, data is broken up into packets and according to a random
distribution quite like an electron cloud, it follows a path through nodes to
reach a destination where it is re-assembled.

Phone conversation is possible now, and is done, but it's more than likely to
be inadequate, shaky and broken. Well, that's hogwash, because all there has
to be is a queue at each end with a signal packet that tells the queue to
start loading and to flush its contents. Then you'll get unhalting
conversation, albeit delayed by a second or a fraction of a second, which we
can deal with for free phone calls anywhere.
