It *is* a mutant dinosaur! Don't you know that birds are dinosaurs--class Therapoda? (Actually, that's not quite true: as best as I can tell, the paleontologists are waging a ferocious war over whether birds are dinosaurs (i.e., birds a subcategory of dinosauria or whatever) or whether dinosaurs are birds (i.e., dinosaurs a subcategory of avis)...
