Maybe he's a polytheist. Maybe he's a satanist. 
Maybe he believes in prayer but not in God 
[praying might "summon the human pan-conscience 
that joins every human mind in a subconscious 
level"]. Maybe he _is_ so deeply religious that 
uttering G**'s name in vain is a sin.
