No, the burden of proof on statements like that is ON YOU. If you want to SPECULATE, because that is what you're doing, on future technology, then you must prove the viability of these things. I can only apply the criteria we have with MODERN technology, and what can reasonable be extrapoltaed in the next few years. I CANNOT stake the Human race on possible developments in technology. You're playing with what if's. So that's ours - WHAT IF we DON'T make those breakthroughs? WHAT IF we can't look beyond the next few years, and end up in a trap? I prefer to look forwards.
