Should not this apply to the new movie as well? Or are you referring to some
other doorman other than the one at the Emerald City gate?
Also, what about the munchins? would they be CGI'ed up?
You also have the issue related to the wicked neighbor delivering a
sheriff's warrant to the Aunt and Uncle of Dorothy directly. In today's
world, this would be delivered by an officer, usually one dedicated to
Animal Control.
I suppose that the movie will have to be updated culturally, or it needs to
be set in the 1930's. AFAIK, there have been two remakes. Michael Jackson's
"The Wiz" version, and some other version I cannot recall at the moment.
