Although I have nowhere near the anciennity (gee does that word really exist?)[haven't been on the list as long as] you have, I must strongly support your point. However, the philosophy that the best defense is a hearty offense does provide the list with some... bad karma, which is probably why people request for a more pragmatic line. Should mud-slugging prove necessary perhaps some more subtle means would be more gentle on lesser and humbler beings (such as myself *sigh*). Perhaps a little tampering with WinNuke (no - not a virus - but an annoying little program with no long-term effects) could help you vent your frustrations and restore some Mojo. ;0)
At last I must point out that although it seems to me that Mr Reuter did start the verbal fistfight (fu puer), I remain strictly neutral. Back then, making claims without providing proof, and refusing to answer questions, was undesired behaviour, and one would get criticised for showing such behaviour. (Both on-list and in Real Life.) Unfortunately, the overwhelming lack of criticism of Erik's behaviour seems to indicate that I am the only one who remembers that. Or at least, the only one who still cares about what used to be list values. So, I will keep insisting, till I either get the proof and answers I want, or get a message from the listserver, informing me that Erik has become an ex-Brineller. If we have sunk so low that people like Erik can attack people and get away with it, we are doomed. So, List, are we going to keep up our old standards, or are we going to let Brin-L become a safe haven for ranters, flamers and other scum?
