I can't find much news about the election, but a recent poll showed Lula with 39% over Serra's 19%, has Serra gained more ground? Do you know of any decent English language news sources? >>Is there a candidate that is afraid that rights >>are being violated by the war on crime, >> >No. Are they? > > Amnesty International seems to think its a big deal, but I'm not sure that that makes it so. Did you tell us at one point that you are able to vote via the net? I read that voting is mandatory for literate citizens between 18 and 70 years old, that 16 and 17 year olds can also vote, but illiterates and conscripts of all people can not. Conscripts? Do you have mandatory military service or am I just reading some bogus story. Doug _______________________________________________ http://www.mccmedia.com/mailman/listinfo/brin-l
