>From: "Nick Arnett" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >What if we were to change it to "http://www.Brin-L.com"?
Perhaps, but imo, only if the content of Brin-L.com were changed to positively promote the list, rather than what's up there now. I disagree with Jeroen's assertion that no one but list members will see the tagline. In days of yore, I used to forward list posts to work contacts, friends and family. I'm sure others currently do the same. Do we want the list's first impression to outsiders to be a negative one? What's there is likely to attract only people with malicious intent, not those interested in serious discussion of sci-fi. I won't argue its accuracy, but do we really want everyone pointed to a website that essentially says "Join Brin-L, it used to be good, but now it's full of intolerance and flame wars!" Somehow I doubt that a tag line like this one will encourage new membership: _________________________________________________________________________ > > Corrupted-World-of-Brin-L Website: >http://www.Brin-L.com Jon _________________________________________________________________ Chat with friends online, try MSN Messenger: http://messenger.msn.com _______________________________________________ http://www.mccmedia.com/mailman/listinfo/brin-l
