Lemonade was mean. Once we figured out that the white feathers on our
lawn and the disappearance of Lemonade were linked, my mom sent us (my
sister and me) over to the neighbors with some money and an apology.
The neighbor mom wouldn't take the money at first, and *thanked* us for
getting rid of the @#$% duck (I think she may have actually used the
d-word, something she never did in front of us kids!), and only took the
money when we made it clear we weren't going to leave her doorstep until
she accepted it. :)

If you tried to pick up Blackie (the other duck, guess what color *she*
was as a hatchling?), Lemonade would chase you and bite you. Heck, he'd
chase and try to bite anyway. I saw him almost put Cameron's eye out
once.
