Try that trick with the banana. Most of the time it works for my little ape..... <BG> As for not unloading the cart it is already happening. One of our major grocery stores has a self scanning device. You take it through the shop, scan what you put in the cart and hand in the scanner when you are done. They charge you the amount you scanned. You only have to occasionally unload your cart when they do a random check. If I could still afford to go there I probably would. But now that I have more free time (well sort of) I'm getting shorter in cash, so I have to shop around a bit to keep the books balanced and still get the nicer stuff, I don't wanne live without. So I still have to unload the cart, again, and again, and....... <sigh> But I'm slowly getting Tom to do it for me. It keeps him nicely occupied.
