HR page 517. They aren't going to dump the ships in the sea. There are no longer any Galactic rules. But I do think that if all of the Library units dummy down, this means that they are psionically linked and that they have been lying to the Galactics for over two billion years. You don't need to go to Tanith to get a better answer. I think it would be better to keep the Library units independent of each other. Oh. Did you catch the fact that in Sundiver or Startide Rising, in the glossary, Brin has it that the Progenitors set up the Library. It has a few short stories that have to be plot sources for what may come next. Also, think of the implications if whales can move planetary bodies, and can travel back and forth to the other galaxies. AND NO ONE ELSE CAN! (Yikes.) --------- BTW: I have *no* idea about the relative date of _Temptation_ and the end of _Heaven's Reach_. I think _Temptation_'s end precedes the breaking of Galaxy 4, otherwise all Buyur tech would fail before the end of the book.
