<LOL> Yeah, nothing like going for the $$$! Sorry, I'll file > that under C for crackpot along with coral calcium > and omega-3 fatty acids from fish oils. <grin> Well, proper diet and exercise would prevent many of the health problems besetting Americans today, but it's more fashionable to take pills...at least until the ill effects come out! (Frex, that smokers who took beta carotene pills had *worse* rates of lung cancer than the controls (Finnish study several years ago, IIRC). Of course, foods like carrots and yams have multiple carotenoid compounds, not just one, and it seems to me that the more variety in the antioxidants one consumes, the better - but that's just my opinion.) > Not saying that breakthroughs can't come from > nowhere, but I'd bet dollars > to donuts that ginseng berry extract will be touted > as the 'new diet > miricle drug' and on the shelves before next summer. <snort> Since it's an herbal and not a "pharmaceutical drug," that could well happen, but I wouldn't recommend it to people until proper human studies are done. And while the Pritzker School of Medicine at the University of Chicago (where the research was done) is not Johns Hopkins, it isn't Grenada either. :) http://www.uchospitals.edu/fact/school-of-medicine-sheet.html AbTronics And Grapefruit Diet Maru ;D __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
