I don't care what flavor of democracy, but everyone should have
a right and a say in how they are governed.

Do you mean, like comparing the human rights record and standard of
living between people living in democratic countries and those living
in dictatorships? It seems obvious (which is another way of saying that
there is TONS of anecdotal evidence), and I have read some articles that
have some data on that, but I can't point them out to you now. Do you
really doubt it? If so, why not do some research for articles that study
that sort of thing?
