Ummm....  even assuming that this information is unknown - if everyone used
ad blocking software, would anyone purchase Online Ads?    

Additionally, ad-blocking software decreases the all-important
click-through rate for ad.

And finally, as I said, it denies the operator of the website compensation
for the cost of maintaining the site.   Since he is maintaining capital
equipment (the servers that host the page) and producing content that you
are interested in it, and all he demands for the service is that you at
least look at an ad for something - it seems unfair to deny the website
operator even that.
