I love Mystery Men.

I love Galaxy Quest.

(I'm one of the people who voted for Galaxy Quest over The Matrix on the
Hugo ballot that year, so it's partly my fault that Galaxy Quest won.
:)
I absolutely loved Galaxy Quest. :)

"Didn't you ever *WATCH* the show?!?"
"...and then it exploded"
"I see you managed to get your shirt off"
"I'm not even supposed to be here. I'm just "Crewman Number Six." I'm expendable! I'm the guy in the episode who dies to prove how serious the situation is! I've gotta get outta here!"

*lol*

I also really liked Unbreakable, which I saw for the first time this
weekend.
Ugh, but this movie wasn't my favorite. Too predictable. If *I* can figure out how a movie is going to end in the first 15-20 minutes, it's WAY too predictable. However, I do own the DVD and must say that it does improve with multiple viewings.

I can think of at least 5 better-made movies with Samuel L., in them that I'd rather watch. :)

(And I haven't seen Star Wars Ep. 2 yet. Wondering if I should make an
effort to not see it for awhile longer.)
I'm sure I'm not giving anything away that hasn't been said in a million reviews, but I'll throw in a S P O I L E R Alert just in case.

That said, IMO, If you go in with few expectations, you're better off -- less disappointment that way. It's not that it was a *bad* movie per se, but it could have been better if less attention had been paid to the incredible special effects and more towards fixing some of the weaker elements, (like Haydn Christiansen's lame acting, a couple of gaping plot holes and one particular storyline that should have been left on the cutting room floor.) Scenes that were reminiscent of *better* scenes in The Fifth Element and Gladiator also didn't help. The special effects were just breathtaking though. :)

Although what out-of-work Star Trek Voyager writer thought up the "Who's the man? Yo-da Man!" tagline currently running on the commercials for the DVD???

Awful!
