Ideas and inventions

Does anyone get crazy ideas and wonder if they can make money? I have three completely separate ideas in my head. I'm doing some research to see if they have been done. So far nothing. Two are simple. I doubt that I could make more than a dollar per unit, in fact because there's no way to patent the idea some big corp could swing in and make 1000s of my one, sell cheaper, and make more money from volume. The other is a higher priced idea bringing together many separate fields. There may be a high legal or licensing cost, the reason no one has done it yet.

Obviously I DON'T want to go to one of those ' invention submission corporation ' places.
