I don't use the wireless access point as a router, just a bridge. I
use a Linux box as a router/gateway to my cable modem broadband
connection. The linux box runs the bandwdith monitor, which I have on
the screen all the time at the console, and I frequently pull it up
(with XWindows) when I am on a wireless terminal.
