No. Because of the way it was behaving, it acted more like a system software problem, so I spent three hours looking for a problem there and some way to fix it _before_ trying another keyboard. Also, I'm not sure the problem is limited to one shift key . . .

I will probably try opening up the keyboard sometime tomorrow and see if I can accomplish anything by cleaning, though . . .
