Pegasus Mail v4.0 has an option that claims to be able to pull apart a
digest into its individual pieces. I've never tried it as I receive
individual messages. But that's a possibility.

When I first joined BRIN-L, email at my work as a bit flakey and alot of
messages bounced. And every time they did, I would be unsubscribed. It
usually happened 2 or 3 times a week. Eileen and Julia were probably
getting pretty tired of seeing those messages. I was forced to the digest
even though I really wanted individual messages. I went as far as to write
a small Visual Basic application that would read in a digest and update an
MS Access database with the individual emails. It was fun to work on.
(Eventually, the email issues were cleared up and I was able to go back to
receiving individual messages.)
