Well, the trick is whether or not they /tell/ you they're a cop first. That's the tricky part. -j- (there was a case here recently where an off-duty sherrif in plain clothes drew a gun on a pair of men sitting in their truck who were not visibily breaking the law (other than being black in a white suburb.)
