The books about Down Syndrome are horribily outdated.
Most of them draw conclusions from the population of
children whose parents were taught to exile in institutes
and then forget about them.

Unfortunately, many pediatricians these days still learn
by those books, and say total nonsense to the parents.
Things like "be glad if your child ever walks or talks" or
"your child will never survive more than 6 months".
