If Faramir had resisted as he had in the book, he would have been *better*
than Aragorn.  By making this change, Faramir seems somewhere in between

I finally saw the movie tonight. I'm afraid the first movie raised my expectations way too high as I was deeply disappointed. I don't even want to go into why except that every chapter could have been altered, was, and much that wasn't in the book, was, and the end point sucked and...

Sigh.
