Arrgh! Do cops skip "Due Process" in the academy these days?

"What would these people have to lose ? if indeed they weren't guilty?" asked one Baton Rouge police official on the condition of anonymity. "Hey, we're all in this together."

Bullsh*t.

What people have to lose is their right not to be treated like criminals without due process according to the Bill of Rights!!! Not to mention their privacy AND the right not to be investigated without a supoena! These same cops can't invade people's homes or tap phone lines without a court order. Why is this any different?!?!

The cop who said this should lose his anonymity. Hey, the people have a right to know which law officers in their community believe that several rights granted by federal/constitutional amendment should be broken or ignored when they arbitrarily figure it's necessary.
