Old-growth forests are irreplace-able in our
lifetimes, or indeed our great-granchildren's
lifetimes if one considers 1000-year-plus old redwoods
and sequoias; wetlands, as water-purifying,
erosion-resisting, 'bird-manufactories' are
economically valuable (if not as much $-wise as
ocean-front housing) without any effort by man.

We better pray that no Galactic Society actually
exists, because they'd "adopt" our patron-less behinds
in a nano-second. Or just eliminate us.
