Maybe not, but the fact that parts of a several-years-old academic paper were copied and that figures in it were altered, after which it was presented as real intelligence information and "irrefutable evidence" against Iraq, shows that the US has no problem with, shall we say, not being completely honest towards the international community. This is enough reason to at least not immediately accept the other "evidence" as The Truth either.> Oh wow. The fact that it was plagiarized doesn't make it not true, after all.
Photographs (such as satellite images) can be altered. Buildings and vehicles do not necessarily contain that what the Bush regime says they contain.
And as for phone calls between Iraqi officers -- well, those are of course extremely easy to fake. Give me the equipment to record phone calls, give me two men who are fluent in Arabic, and I'll provide you with "evidence" that Iraq plans to assassinate Sharon next week. (Not that *that* would be a loss to the world, but that's not the issue here.)
Give me that same equipment and two men who can mimick the voices of Bush and Blair, and I'll provide "evidence" that the US and the UK would rather spend billions of dollars on a war against Iraq and send hundreds of soldiers to their deaths, than admitting that there is little of no real evidence that Iraq has weapons of mass destruction, and subsequently withdraw their troops.
I am quite well aware of what plagiarism is, thank you very much.Maybe this is a problem with being a non-native speaker? I can understand how that happens. For future reference, plagiarism doesn't mean false, it means copied.
