I haven't seen Thumper very much at all. Maybe one sighting in the past
year, and that was last week, and I'm not *positive* it was Thumper.
(Prolly just as well -- I'm rather allergic to Thumper.)
I haven't seen Thumper here at all, but every time it snows, I see lots of Thumper tracks in both the front and back yards. And given the amount of woods and fields around here, I'm really surprised that I've seen no evidence of Bambi at all. Kevin, have you been exceeding your limit again? ;-)

No, I took care of my limit (2) in one day back in December. And from PA to Missouri would be a hell of a shot. ;-)

I watched "The Deer Hunter" last night with my brother. This is probably a 25 year old complaint, but the 'deer hunting' parts of the movie were just wrong. I assume the story was set in WV, MD, Ohio, or southwestern PA. The antlers in DeNiro's trailer were whitetail, but the deer he shot at the beginning was a mule deer, and at the end when he pulled the shot it was an elk. The land looked more like Wyoming than anyplace on the eastern seaboard.
