Been meaning to mention that there was something oddly familiar about being in a hospital having painful cramps in my stomach one day and an ultrasound of my abdomen the next... I told them at radiology that I'm hoping for twins. (Ultrasound receptionist: "Got names picked out and everything?")Wish I could say that each day has been better than the one before, intestinally speaking, but today is definitely not better than yesterday. But hey, I'm here. And now, the most foolish comment so far, from the young man for whom a number of you recommended books (I sent him Snowcrash and Neuromancer as starters): "Wish it happened to me. I'd could sue." I wish he could meet everyone who ever went through something worth a personal injury lawsuit, so he'd realize that 99.9 percent of them don't think the money was even remotely worth what they suffered. That's certainly how I felt about a car accident a few years ago, just putting off and then negotiating with the other guy's claims adjustor for months. Nick
Not related, thank Tunare, but I heard a story that a colony of gorillas in Africa all died in a week from ebola, and the scientists have no idea where it came from. Something like 116 gorillas.
