I wish! :)
Seriously, we had 2 reliable mature-adult-type babysitting families, and one
of them lives over an hour away now. (They'll be moving back into the
30-40-minute distance sometime this year, but still....) The other -- she
got sick on Wednesday, couldn't come to the doctor's with me yesterday to
keep Sammy company in the waiting room. So I took him in with me, and it
was all fine until the nurse started speaking to him directly and calling
him by name. (He's a bit shy....)
This wasn't so bad. At least she was feeling OK on Monday, when I needed
someone to *drive* me to the doctor, and then was willing to stop at the
pharmacy so I could get my prescription filled, and then stuck around long
enough to help feed Sammy some lunch.
Julia
