You'd be surprised, though, at how all these weird color-schemed models may go up in price. I remember seeing the "gold" version of the NCC1701E from Playmates priced originally at $11.00 (clearance price). A year after its' release, it was going for close to $100 in the Wizard catalogue.

Of course, that was an official release. This one doesn't seem to me to be a home-made model. It's a modified version of ERTL's "Light and Sound" Enterprise released in 1992. They've been out of circulation for quite a while.
