While this is true, it should be noted that this majority voted very
heavily in favor this minority that formed the current coalition government.

Thus, while a majority of Israelis want a viable, peaceful, and democratic
Palestinian State - they don't want it now.   Unfortunately, they have lost
all trust and hope in the Palestinians since the rejected Barak's peace
plan and resumed their suicide/homicide bombing attacks on Israeli
civilians.    Until a majority of Israelis can be convinced that the
Palestinians are fundamental serious about being not just viable, but also
peaceful, then a Palestinian State is impossible, since a
democracy/republic like Israel could never support such a State without
being convinced of that seriousness.
