I don't disagree with you at all. But I think that Saddam is winning the propaganda campaign in this war. Marketing and perception are powerful tools in this war as evident by the position of countries that are normally our allies.
Which will take Saddam nowhere. The US will launch their attack in a couple of weeks, if not less.
