No, I'm saying that they're either being dishonest
about their intentions, or not thinking clearly.
Hypocrisy is the _least_ of their sins. I'm not
saying that we should do this _solely_ because it is
good for the people of Iraq. It is, but that's not
enough for me to trigger American military action,
especially at this scale. They are arguing that we
should not do this, and saying that the reason they
are so excited that they are concerned about the
people of Iraq. I don't think that the protest
leaders are concerned about the people of Iraq in the
least - since they never expressed any such concern
before the US started trying to liberate them (among
other things) - and I think that the rank and file are
being disingenuous, at best, in their claims, since
they didn't seem to care when Saddam was massacring
the people of Iraq. If your first priority is the
people of Iraq, then you should be the strongest
supporter of this invasion. It's only if you have
other priorities that you should oppose it.

I guess you could argue that they feel that it's
better for tens of thousands of Iraqis to be killed on
purpose by Saddam than hundreds or thousands to be
killed by accident by the US, but let's just say I
don't have a lot of sympathy for that viewpoint.
