Israel has agreed that 242 should be the basis of peace decades ago.  The
Palestinians are still opposed to it.
The Palestinians stated (at least in the 60's) that they were/are opposed 
specifically to section ii, which states that Israel has a right to secure 
and recognized boundaries.
