>The same applies to you. You are associating with an US president who >is extremely eager to go to war,
Uh huh.... so eager that nearly one year and two months after the "axis of evil" speech, he still hasn't gone to war.
If it hadn't been for the international community, he would *already* have gone to war.
>who shows utter disrespect for the opinion of the international >community,
UH huh. That's why President Bush personally took his case for war to the United Nations in September.
The same Bush who didn't want to go the UN in the first place, but only went there after a lot of pressure from the international community. The same Bush who told the world "we will go to war against Iraq, whether you support us or not". The same Bush who told every country in the world "if you're not with us, you're against us".
>and who in his own country is rapidly eroding civil rights, thereby >moving the country towards becoming a police state.
Finally, this last comment is so absurd, I can only conclude that you wrote it with the intent of starting a flame war.
If you think my comment is absurd, you should take a closer look at certain documents with the words "Patriot Act" in the title. While you're at it, you should also examine the discussions held on this list about said documents.
And I have absolutely no intention whatsoever of starting a flame war. Other people on this list have also made comments about the erosion of civil rights/liberties in the US, and have mentioned that the US is on its way to becoming a police state. Do you believe that all those people wrote all that with the intent of starting a flame war?
