You didn't know? It's being done to the tune of $30,000,000. Last I heard, it was supposed to premiere this fall. Burton is adapting most of the storyline for his first Batman film.
It can't be worse than the "Star Trek TOS: The Musical" which was under development sometime around the 25th. Anniversary of Trek. I remember reading about Kirk's ode to the Enterprise...
