Not really. But my sister learned it, and was very fond of singing the
refrain. A lot. It kinda grew on me. :)

For one birthday, sometime after she'd learned the song, she wanted a
little stuffed pink hippopotamus. I knew where she'd seen it, so I bought
it, and I told my mother I had got it for her. My mother didn't properly
process the information, went looking for a little pink hippo, couldn't
find one, so settled on a gray one. So my sister ended up with twin
hippos of different colors.

Fast forward about 20 years or so. When the couple she was sharing a
house with was planning to adopt a child, there was a lot of discussion
with their daughter about siblings. Once the adopted daughter came to the
house, my sister gave each of them one of her hippos, and told them the
hippos were sisters, just like they were. :)
