Serbs and Russians were targeted for genocide by
the nazis. Their reaction wasn't out of _courage_, it
was out of _despair_. It's like the heroism of those
flight that crashed: they had nothing to lose, so let's
die heroically.

The Danes saved the Jews quite early in WW2,
probably they weren't aware of the full Evil of the
nazis
