She's apparently painfully, painfully shy. My friend who was the camera operator (Rob Hahn) on the picture told me not to look at her. And sure enough, when she arrived to shoot a scene, she complained about all the people looking at her, so everybody who wasn't absolutely essential had to move down the road, out of sight. On the other hand, I literally bumped into Alec Baldwin, who didn't even seem to take notice, as he wandered around, practicing lines. This all took place very late one night at a mansion just below the big "Hollywood" sign, where they shot party scenes. That was one very unhappy crew, who couldn't wait for the picture to be over. Rob said the running joke was, "Who do I have to [sleep with] to get OUT OF this picture?"
*grin* Not a phrase you hear often.
I think we probably said "hi" to each other and that was it. It's been six years, so my memory of it is quite fuzzy. I only very very rarely offer to shake hands with celebs, so I doubt I even did that.
Funny that someone so extremely shy could do a such a graphically sexual movie like 9 and 1/2 weeks.
