OK, let's say "The equivalent of $x.xx US dollars circa 2003".  We can
establish the rate by monetary exchange rates as of 00:01 GMT on April
1, 2023 and by indexing the amount of a specific product could
purchase on average in the US (or UK) at 00:01 GMT on April 1, 2003.

Now, what specific terms and criteria will be used to determine if the
US has "crashed and burned" by that time?
