Even if I do think it's ridiculous to chase down a tiny group like this for infringement...does the USOC actually fear that people around the world will trek to Nebraska to watch this mighty event? Or spend boodles of money on RO caps, T-shirts and mugs?
Something similar happened in The Netherlands several years ago. A decades-old small movie theater received a letter from some Hollywood lawyer, ordering them to change the theater's name. If they wouldn't change it they could expect a lawsuit for copyright infringement or something along that line.
The name of the theater? Oscar...
I was utterly stunned when I first heard about it. I mean, does Hollywood really believe that some small movie theater on the other side of the world can have any influence whatsoever on Hollywood's most prestigious award?
Quite frankly, I'm surprised they even managed to *find* it.
