A California law allows you to apply for a special certificate & sticker set to drive the carpool lane alone if it is a true alternative fuel vehicle (i.e. does not run on gasoline). Vehicles that qualify must run on electricity, propane, or natural gas only (hybrids and bi-fuel vehicles don't qualify, as they can use gasoline for fuel. I have a feeling that fuel cell vehicles will qualify once they start being available for purchase. So I found a deal on a van that runs on natural gas. I finally got my carpool stickers, and now save at least 30 min. each way on my commute time. There's also a lot less stress from driving in traffic :-) -- Matt _______________________________________________ http://www.mccmedia.com/mailman/listinfo/brin-l
